Catherine Lafontaine

Catherine is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
She graduated with honours at both the Massage Therapy program at Fleming College and the Pre-Health Sciences program at Algonquin College. Catherine believes it is important to approach health from all angles – physical, mental and social. She utilizes her knowledge of the body and how it works to create effective, individualized treatment plans that focus on treating the root cause of pain. With a variety of techniques and tools, she can treat conditions including – but not limited to – chronic pain, joint pathologies, fascial restrictions and repetitive strain injuries. She has a special interest in learning more about what massage therapy can do for mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression.

Catherine tries to spend most of her free time exploring nature. She recently moved to Parry Sound to be closer to some of the things she loves; trees and water. When she’s not outside, she’s probably listening to a podcast or practicing yoga. She hopes to continue to expand her education this year with a variety of continuing education courses.
She can’t wait to meet you!
